I first met the group in 2011 while training for the 2012 Lymphoma & Leukemia Society Team in Training Century ride in Lake Tahoe. Spending many hours and miles with these guys cycling over the past few years I’ve learned of their passion to make the KC community better in some way, very inspiring. I too feel it is very important to be involved and give back to the community in which I live.
I rode the 62 mile route at the inaugural TOUR de HOPE ride of 2012, which is most remember by the torrential rains, but it was just the beginning of a great things to come. I returned the following year to help organize the short route and so when asked to joined the TOUR de HOPE Board of Directors in January 2014 as the Secretary, I couldn’t pass on the opportunity.
